The 36-year-old completed his 6th ODI fifty after scoring 59 runs off 52 balls. Hussey, along with Peter Forrest, completed a 100-run partnership and towed Australia out of danger zone. Forrest made 52 off 71 balls to complete his second fifty of the series and made way for David Hussey and Daniel Christian to finish the innings in style. Christian`s 30 came from 18 balls, while D Hussey scored 26 off 20 balls. Earlier, after opting to bat first Australian openers made a low key start and gave the team best start of the series.
