Alastair Cook is the MoM for his knock of 190 in the first innings. The next Test starts from December 13 in Nagpur.
ENGLAND (2nd innings): Overs: 12.1 II Score: 41/3 ( Compton 9*, Bell 27*)
England have defeated India in the Kolkata Test by seven wickets to taken an unassailable 2-1 lead in the four-match series. They were panicking after losing three wickets early in their chase of 41 runs but Ian Bell and Compton ensured no further hiccups as they knocked off the remaining runs with ease.

ENGLAND (2nd innings): Overs: 11 II Score: 34/3 ( Compton 9*, Bell 22*)
England now need just six runs to win this Test. Ian Bell has looked in fine touch. He has raced to 22 runs in just 25 deliveries with three boundaries.

ENGLAND (2nd innings): Overs: 4.2 II Score: 8/3 ( Compton 3*, Bell 0*)
Ah! R Ashwin has removed Kevin Pietersen. A faster one from Ashwin and KP pokes at it. It takes and outside edge and Dhoni collects it safely behind stumps. He is not happy. England have lost three wickets under 10 runs. Are we going to witness a turnaround here?

ENGLAND (2nd innings): Overs: 4 II Score: 7/2 ( Compton 3*, Pietersen 08)
Oh well! Pragyan Ojha has removed Jonathan Trott as England lose their second wicket. An arm ball and Trott plays for the turn. It hits him on the pad and Ojha asks the question. Umpire Dharmasena has no hesitation as he raises his finger. Ojha is ecstatic. Final day pitch is showing its true colours. Had India a lead of over 100 runs, they could have given England a run for their money. A wicket maiden over from Ojha. Kevin Pietersen is the new man in.

ENGLAND (2nd innings): Overs: 2 II Score: 4/1 ( Compton 3*, Trott 0*)
On strike is Nick Compton and second over is a maiden from Pragyan Ojha. Jonathan Trott has joined Compton in the middle. How many overs are they going to take to knock off the remaining runs?

ENGLAND (2nd innings): Overs: 1 II Score: 4/1 (Trott 0*, Compton 3*)
And Alastair Cook has been dismissed early! A rare sight these days! R Ashwin opened the bowling for India and on his penultimate delivery, Cook came down the track. The ball turns away and he is beaten by the turn. Dhoni takes the bails off and he has been dismissed for a score of just 1 (4b).
====================================================================================
With just 41 runs to win, Alastair Cook and Nick Compton walk into the middle. R Ashwin begins the proceedings. The batting team will look to reach the target as early as possible. A lot of thinking to do for the Indian team. Will we see heads rolling for the final Test in Nagpur?
INDIA (2nd innings): Overs: 84.4 II Score: 247/10 (Ashwin 91*, Ojha 3)
And that will be the end of Indian innings! Ashwin ends on 91*. James Anderson has clean bowled Pragyan Ojha. It took years before the off stump bail crashed on to the ground. Ojha scored 3. So, India have been bowled out for 247 in their second dig leaving England with 41 runs to win the Test and take unassailable 2-1 lead in the series.

INDIA (2nd innings): Overs: 84 II Score: 247/9 (Ashwin 91*, Ojha 3*)
Right! So Ashwin has moved into the nineties with back to back boundaries off Steve Finn. The partnership for this tenth wicket has now reached 50-run mark – the second highest in India’s second innings after the opening stand between Sehwag and Gambhir. Will Ashwin reach his second Test hundred?
====================================================================================
INDIA (2nd innings): Overs: 83 II Score: 239/9 (Ashwin 83*, Ojha 3*)
Only god can save us from the defeat was Virender Sehwag’s response when asked if his team had any chance of saving the Test.
With just one wicket in hand and a meagre lead of 32 runs, Team India is on the brink of handing England the lead in the four-match series.
R Ashwin was the sole batsman who offered some sort of fight against the charging English bowlers. In the last moments of the penultimate day he showed presence of mind and kept Pragyan Ojha off strike. After playing out the last five deliveries of the last over from Jimmy, he took a single off the last one to retain the strike when India come to bat on the final day of the Kolkata Test. His 83* on day 4 is the highest by an Indian batsman in both the innings of the third Test.
