New Delhi: Skipper Virat Kohli continued to showcase his batting brilliance on Saturday as India engage England in the fourth Test match at Wankhede Stadium.
The skipper hit his 15th Test hundred with a single, playing through the cover off the second ball of 121st over, bowled by Jake Ball.
He took 187 balls to reach the second hundred of the series, with 11 fours.

Earlier in the day, he became the first Indian batsman to score 1000 Test runs in a calendar year, since since Rahul Dravid did it in 2011.
He is also the third India captain to score 1000-plus runs in a year after Sachin Tendulkar (1997) and Dravid (2006).
With more than 500 runs in the series, he became only the second Indian captain to achieve this feat, after Sunil Gavaskar.
Besides the team duel, the 28-year-old is also fighting four England batsmen to become the highest scorer of the year. Jonny Bairstow (1369 in 26 innings), Joe Root (1306/29) and Alastair Cook (1193/30) are ahead of him, with a match still remaining in the series.
But in all formats, Kohli is the leading scorer with 2400* runs at an average of 85.71, ahead of Root (2399), David Warner (2186 ), and Steve Smith (2048).

Kohli has played 11 Tests this year, with a highest score of 211, and an average easily above 70.

He also moved pass the 4000-run mark, becoming the 14th Indian to do so.
The right-handed batsman is the sixth-fastest Indian to the mark after Virender Sehwag (79 Tests), Sunil Gavaskar (81), Dravid (84), Sachin Tendulkar (86) and Mohammad Azharuddin (88).
