IND vs ENG, 4th Test, preview: England look to bounce back in a bid to keep series alive

Former Indian opener, Virender Sehwag predicted a 3-0 series victory for India.

New Delhi: In the ongoing India-England Test series, the visitors have been down 2-0 but will be looking to bounce back with a win in the fourth test which is going to start from 8th December in Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.

England have a very good track record in Wankhede which is considered as their hunting ground. There are some epic matches that England have won at the venue, including the India-England final ODI where Flintoff removed & waved his shirt in air and the 3rd test match of 2006 series which England won by 212 runs.

Alastair Cook, 31, who became father for the second time has admitted that he is under immense pressure and is finding the tour very difficult, although he did enjoy the responsibility as English Captain.

English coach Trevor Bayliss had admitted that he still trusts Cook, and that he wants him to continue fulfilling a skipper's role & responsibility in upcoming Ashes series. "Sometimes there are little comments made along the way and they get blown out of all proportion. He’s certainly up for the fight. I haven’t had any discussion with him any other way and that’s what we’ve been working towards," the Australian said.

England's right hand batsman Joe root also came in support of Cook, praised him and said that he's a brilliant leader. While talking to reporters he said, "Hopefully, we get these results we want in the last two games and we can put right what has been quite a frustrating last couple of weeks".

The problems with England team seems to have increased just before what could be the deciding match in Mumbai as the promising opener Haseeb Hameed has been ruled out of last two tests matches with injury in hand. Zafar Ansari, who is already struggling with a back injury sustained in the second Test in Visakhapatnam, is also out. The good new is that injured fast Bowler Sturat Broad, who was down with an injury, is back in the team and ready to play the match.

Heading into the 4th Test, ex-Indian cricketer Virender Sehawag thinks India will be too strong for England but believes the visitors will not give up the series without a fight. "I think we will win 3-0 as I expect England to show some resistance and that’s why I won’t predict 4-0," said Sewhag while talking to Press Trust of India news agency.

India, currently No.1 test team in the world, has an inaccessible lead of 2-0 in the series. Virat Kohli and his men will be looking for series win in Mumbai and will come up strongly against England once again. The motive will be to finish the Test in the next few days rather than delaying it till Chennai which is going to be played from 16 December.
