Kohli and Pujara were racing towards respective tons when the play was unexpectedly halted.
The surprise guest on the field was none other than a friendly dog who was roaming around teasing every player and indeed the spectators.
The security officials tried their best to shoo away the visitor so that play could resume but the dog was in no mood to depart that easily.
The incident forced teams to take TEA break before scheduled time, with Stuart broad resuming post-lunch session with 4 pending deliveries from second session.
Skipper Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin will begin second day's play in Visakhapatnam on Friday.
