New Delhi: As Team India continues to struggle on the Kiwi tour, it is time for MS Dhoni to give all-rounder Stuart Binny a chance to prove himself at the international level.
Team India at the moment desperately needs an extra batsman and while Ravindra Jadeja has failed miserably in the series so far, it is probably time to give Binny a chance, as he seems to be a much better batsman and his medium-pace bowling could prove to be handy on the Kiwi turf as well. Ravindra Jadeja has conceded 107 runs from two matches in New Zealand and has picked just two wickets. The left-hander hasn`t impressed with his batting either, as his willow has produced just 12 runs from two innings. Jadeja has failed whenever the team has needed him to score runs lower down the order, of late. Binny on the other hand impressed a lot while playing for Karnataka in the Ranji Trophy. The right-hander not only picked 11 wickets in six matches, but also scored consistently with the bat as well. Binny had also been an integral part of the Rajasthan Royals squad where he got to play with world class players. Now that the team is struggling to find its rhythm overseas, Dhoni should give the youngster a chance to prove his mettle.
