Wellington: After the 4-0 drubbing in the hands of New Zealand, in the five-match ODI series, India would try to come hard on the Kiwis in the Test series. The two-match Test series will kick start from February 6, when the teams will lock horns at Eden Park, Auckland. At the moment, India is going through a poor patch and haven`t won a single match in last nine matches they have played, in all formats of the game. Though, in the Test series against the Proteas, in South Africa, India performed decently and gave the number one Test team a tough fight. In fact, in the first Test, India dominated the proceedings till the fourth day of the match. But if we go by the track record of Team India, in the recent past under the captaincy of Dhoni, it`s a harsh reality that India played like a mediocre team overseas. However, if we look at the Indian team, it has players like Cheteshwar Puajra, Virat Kohli, Zaheer Khan and MS Dhoni, who can play crucial roles for the team. But along with that India need contributions from the other team members as well to give the Black Caps a run for their money. The eyes would also be on Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma who are not performing up to their reputation. Meanwhile, the home side has included two rookie players in their squad -- George Worker and Robbie O`Donnell – for this tour. It would be interesting to note whether these lads will get a chance to play against India or not. But if India want to win the Test series, they have to come out with all guns blazing.
