New Delhi: In a hard-hitting message to Pakistan in the wake of the Uri attack, India on Thursday announced it had carried out surgical strikes on terrorist launch pads across the Line of Control on Wednesday night, inflicting heavy casualties.
Sources said that the Indian Army was para-dropped and seven terror launch pads were destroyed across LoC. The operation, which lasted from 12:30 am-4:30 am, took place 500 meters-2 km across LoC.
Like most Indians, Virender Sehwag too was delighted with India's befitting reply to the Pakistan-backed terrorists. (READ: Elsewhere, Indian hockey team thrashes Pakistan 3-1 to enter U-18 Asia Cup final)
Taking to social micro-blogging site, Viru reacted to the news in typical fashion.
Salute to Indian Army.
The boys have played really well.

Post the attack in Uri, the former India opener was devastated with the death of 18 Indian soldiers.
They had a family,they had a son,they had a daughter.
They were serving our motherland.

Hence the latest action by the Indian forces will act as a balm for not just Sehwag but to the families of all the martyred soldiers.
