This partnership has already reached 90 plus and they are looking dangerous. Meanwhile, the lead has also swelled to 150. =================================================== Over 147 | Score 447/7 After lunch, South Africa have come up with a strategy, which is to go for the kill. Their batsmen have started scoring runs briskly. Faf du Plessis and Robin Peterson both are now scoring boundaries at will. They have scored seven boundaries in the last seven overs after lunch. From here on India will be playing for a draw. Now the lead is extended to 110 runs. But the session witnessed history, of sort, for Jacques Kallis in his final Test match, scoring a hundred, which many a greats have failed to achieved. And for Jadeja, a good session too. Two wickets in quick succession for an tireless Indian bowling unit. Steyn survived the entire, almost, morning to give Indians a horrendous time in the middle. His bowling has been a revelation to say the least. The 25 year old Saurashtra spinner has taken four wickets conceding 119 runs so far. On the other end, Ishant Sharma has managed to keep the line tight for the South African batsmen. It has been a fantastic day of Test cricket, overall, but the result? Nice duels and some memories to cherish. =================================================== Over 125 || Score 368/5 After that brief celebration, the pair of Kallis and Steyn continues building their partnership, on a seemingly lifeless pitch, under a thickening cloud. In the 123th over of the innings, South Africa's destruction in-charge in India's first innings, Steyn blasted boundaries off two successive deliveries, bowled by Jadeja - innings most successful bowler. It seems, Steyn is trying the hold the Indians by scruff of the neck. For the statisticians, it is his 45th, six fewer than Tendulkar's. And he is only the fourth South African to have scored a Test hundred in the final match. Dale Steyn was the bowler - six wickets, all priced one, from top order to tail-enders. Then some stopper and stupor in the second Test, after that enthralling series opener. Bad light, some shower, and thus two days passed without much ado. The Proteas ended the second day on 82/2 from 20 overs, in reply to India`s first innings. However, the expectant moment arrived when one of the greatest cricketers arrived in the middle to take his guard in his final essay in the longer, purer version of this gentlemen`s game. Today, when the play resumes in Durban, both sides will look to control the remaining two days of cricket, result or no-result, for the glory of it.
