Reportedly, Haseeb got into a fight with the police as he wanted accused of a cow slaughter incident to be released.

New Delhi: Indian speedster Mohammed Shami's brother, Mohammed Haseeb, has been arrested in Amroha after the latter got into a scuffle with policmen.

According to a report published on khabar.ibnlive.com, Haseeb got into a fight with policemen who had gone to investigate a matter related to cow slaughter.

The report said that Haseeb got into a fight with the police as he wanted the accused of the incident to be released. In the process of doing so, he got into a fracas and also tore the uniform of one of the officials.

While the accused, along with other cow smugglers, managed to run way, the police arrested Haseeb.

A case has been registered against Shami and a few others.

Shami, who was a part of India's 15-member ODI squad for Australia, recently flew back home due to a hamstring injury.
