JSCA pitch was not ideal for T20: Kallis

Ranchi: All-rounder Jacques Kallis, who played a key role in Kolkata Knight Riders` five-wicket win over Royal Challengers Banglore here today, said the pitch at the JSCA International Cricket Complex was not ideal for a Twenty20 game.
Kallis, who picked up two wickets for 17 runs with the ball before scoring a vital 41 during KKR`s modest chase of 116-run target, said the wicket was not easy to bat as the ball didn`t come to the bat.
Being one of the instrumental players for the KKR with both bat and ball in today`s encounter, Kallis accepted that a wicket for Twenty20 game should fetch a team between 150 and 160 runs, giving equal chance to both bowlers and the batsmen. The South African, however, sounded optimistic about KKR`s chances of qualifying for the playoff, saying the defending champions have two more matches and would try to win both. PTI
