Indian team for second Test today

New Delhi: After the victory in the first Test in Kotla, Indian team for the second and third Test matches of the on-going three-match series will be announced on Thursday. Even though India started off with a win, captain Dhoni was not all satisfied with the performance of the batsmen. "If we had the first innings lead it would have been a perfect start to the series. We did not do well in the first innings. If our batsmen see how they were out in the first innings they would think that they should not have been out and done much better. Considering the difficult pitch, a bit of application from the batsmen should have helped," Dhoni said at the post-match press conference. Meanwhile, selection committee chairman K Srikkanth said he was impressed by R Ashwin`s performance in his debut match. “Ashwin bowled brilliantly to win the Man-of-the-Match award.” He was also impressed by the performances of fast-bowler Umesh Yadav and left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha.
