New Delhi: The next edition of the Indian Premier League will be held from April 9 to May 29.

The next two IPL seasons will feature eight teams.

Suspended Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings will be replaced two teams based out of Pune and Rajkot.

Franchise workshop will be held in Srinagar on 13th and 14th January.

IPL player auction will take place on February 6 in Bengaluru, while two new franchises will participate in draft picks on December 15. 

Some of the biggest names in Indian cricket like MS Dhoni, Ajinkya Rahane, Suresh Raina and Ravichandran Ashwin will be up for grabs in the draft.

Pune will get to pick the players first.

Bid for the Pune franchise was won by Sanjeev Goenka-owned New Rising consortium​, while Intex group got their hands on Rajkot.
