New Delhi: Middle-order batsman Kedar Jadhav on Thursday joined Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) from Delhi Daredevils (DD), ahead of the ninth edition of the cash-rich Twenty20 league.

RCB confirmed the news via their official Twitter account.

Jadhav joined RCB via IPL's first Trading Window for the IPL 2016, which opened on Tuesday, 15 December 2015.

The first window is set to close today.

Kedar came into the limelight when he slammed a 29-ball fifty on his IPL debut.

More recently in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, he smashed tons against Andhra and Tripura to leave a lot of jaws biting the dust.

The 30-year-old Maharashtra player, made his ODI debut for India in 2014 against Sri Lanka and his T20I debut against Zimbabwe in 2015.

The ninth edition of the IPL will be played from April 9 to May 29.
