In March, Tendulkar took to Twitter to announce the news about the movie and invited his fans to suggest an ideal title for the docu-feature. And producers of the film are reportedly targeting a 2016 release on big screens.
A twitter handle under the self-explanatory name, 'The Sachin Project' has revealed anecdotes and snippets from the upcoming film.
The film is being directed by well-known British director-producer James Erskine. Erskine was nominated for an Emmy Award in Outstanding Non-Fiction Special category for his 2010 sports documentary, One Night in Turin, based on the super-rich English Premier League stars. He is also known for documentary The Human Face (2001) and thriller EMR (2004).
Now a co-owner of Indian Super League football franchise Kerala Blasters, cricket's most prolific run maker and compiler of a staggering 100 international hundreds is currently occupied with the Indian Premier League franchise Mumbain Indians.
