New Delhi: Ever since BCCI dropped Harsha Bhogle as the commentator for the ninth edition of the Indian Premier League, there have been several theories floating around as to why the veteran TV presenter was axed of his duties.
Bhogle was dropped from the commentary panel at the last moment without any explanation.

A controversy erupted during the recently concluded ICC World Twenty20, when during the India-Bangladesh match, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, who was quite active on social-media during the tournament, took to Twitter to say, "With all due respects, it would be really worthy of an Indian commentator to speak more about our players than others all the time."
MS Dhoni's backing of Big B's Tweet only added more fuel to the fire.
Later, Bhogle took to Facebook to write a detailed explanation about the same:
There are also reports that senior India players are behind Bhogle's removal from IPL commentary box.
"The previous generation - when you had the likes of Sourav (Ganguly), VVS (Laxman), Rahul (Dravid) and Sachin (Tendulkar) around - was too classy and too big in stature to get involved in such petty instances," Bhogle was quoted as saying to The Times of India.
Another theory which has been doing the rounds if it has been learnt that Bhogle had an argument with Vidarbha Cricket Association during India's ICC World Twenty20 match against Kiwis in Nagpur, which had not gone down well with the Indian cricket board.
