IPL 2015, Match 53, KXIP vs CSK: Players to watch out for

New Delhi: Hosts Kings XI Punjab will face top of the table placed Chennai Super Kings in Match 53 of the Indian Premier League (IPL). CSK have won eight games from thirteen matches and are looking for an away win to finish as toppers.

Meanwhile, KXIP have already bowed out of the tourney and have been pretty dismal in all departments so far winning three, losing 10 games. They will look to win the final game and end their campaign with some pride.

CSK lost their last home game against the Delhi Daredevils where they lost the game by six wickets. KXIP come to this game after winning against Royal Challengers Bangalore in a rain curtailed match.

A win for MS Dhoni's side will help themsee the two-time champions have an added edge for the play-offs after finishing in top two. For George Bailey, picking up two points will be crucial as well as they want to end on a high note. They will be hoping to make the home game conditions work in their favour.

The last time CSK and KXIP met in April 2015, the former won the match by a huge margin and dominated the entire game.

As two IPL sides clash looking for different grounds, we highlight a key player from each side who could help his side emerge victorious at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali.

Dwayne Bravo (CSK)

The West Indian has been CSK's key man so far chipping in with the ball. Even in the field he has been lively. Bravo has taken 19 wickets so far and has bowled exceptionally well. He holds the purple cap. With the bat he has had a poor campaign though apart from a 62* earlier against the RR. The West Indies all-rounder will be the key again down the order. He has all the abilities to win the game on his own and has been instrumental against most sides so far with the ball. Bravo will hope to contribute once again and be in the mix of things.

Axar Patel (KXIP)

The India international has performed decently for the KXIP in a forgettable campaign otherwise. With majority of KXIP stalwarts failing, Patel has had something to speak about after accounting for 13 scalps and scoring 174 runs with the bat. Patel will be influential again with his bowling and needs to get important wickets against CSK batsmen who play good against spin. Patel's chipping in with the bat will be a vital asset and he will require to be a bit more expressive.
