New Delhi: Discarded England cricketer Kevin Pietersen is looking forward to another stint in the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he will be playing for new franchise Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) in the ninth edition of the tournament.
Pietersen, who has been one of the regular English cricketers in the tournament, wrote in a post on his Facebook page that he was looking forward to playing under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
"Not been in India for a few years. Really looking forward to it! The IPL is one helluva tournament. As good as it gets. Lots of, Melbourne Stars boys in our side which is GOLD! The Super Coach in charge & we're led by the the Boss, MSD!" he said.
The flamboyant right-hander has represented Deccan Chargers, Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the previous editions of IPL.
It will be the maiden tournament for the Pune-based franchise, which along with Gujarat Lions, have replaced suspended Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals for the next two years.
