Hyderabad: Sunrisers Hyderabad won their first match of Indian Premier League 2016 as a result of a captain's knock from David Warner, who scored unbeaten 90 runs in Match 12 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal.

It was Hyderabad's first win of the season after losing two matches in a row.

Earlier, batting first, Mumbai never looked in control of the game as they experimented a lot with the batting order. Ambati Rayudu, who was promoted to bat at number three, was the hero of the Mumbai innings with a 54-run knock.

Rayudu was well supported by Krunal Pandya, who was promoted ahead of the big-hitting Hardik Pandya. Krunal grabbed the opportunity with both hands, as he remained unbeaten on 49 runs, a knock where he hammered spinner Bipul Sharma for three consecutive sixes.
