London: After splurging USD 3 million on a new set of wheels, former Spice Girl Geri Haliwell has now set her sights on the sky as she is taking lessons in flying.The `Lift me up` singer also known as `Ginger Spice` looked happy after her first lesson in helicopter flying, reported Daily Mail online.
The 37-year-old pop star who is dating the young aristocrat Henry Beckwith took a front row seat with her coach as she was shown the basics of operating a helicopter, at an airfield outside of London.
The popstar reportedly decided to take flying lessons after a scary emergency landing experience.
Haliwell was on a holiday with Beckwith and her three-year-old daughter Bluebell, in June, when they had to make an emergency landing due to sudden onset of sea fog.
Beckwith, who was piloting the five-seater helicopter, landed in the lawn of a country house and had to request the family to leave the machine there until the flying conditions improved.
The incident has prompted Haliwell to learn the basics of helicopter flying.
Haliwell who`s signature style includes mini dresses and high heels dressed down for the ocasion, wearing biker boots and a sporty vest top.
The singer was so happy with her first lesson that she posed with the chopper and her coach for a series of photographs.
