Sanjay Dutt all set to remake blockbuster ‘Qurbani’

Mumbai, June 21: Way back in the 1980's, Feroz Khan’s ‘Qurbani’ was a typical Bollywood potboiler that had everything to make it a big smash hit! Right from powerful storyline, celebrated star cast, adrenaline pumping action to groovy music, ‘Qurbani’ was a revelation of sorts! According to the latest Bollywood news, Sanjay Dutt is all set to produce and act in the remake of ‘Qurbani’ with Fardeen Khan essaying his father Feroz Khan’s role and Sanjay reprising Amjad Khan’s role. News has it that ‘Qurbani’ was supposed to be remade by Dutt’s one time friend Sanjay Gupta with Saif Ali Khan and Fardeen Khan in the lead. However, Sanjay Dutt has acquired the rights of the flick and will be producing remake of the same. With Soham Shah, Apoorva Lakhia and Sanjay Gadhvi being the top contenders, Sanjay Dutt is yet to finalise a director. With the sudden demise of Feroz Khan, the remake of ‘Qurbani’ was a distant dream. However, it was during the making of ‘All The Best’ when Sanjay showed his keenness to remake ‘Qurbani’ with Fardeen. According to a source, “That was when Dutt and Fardeen bonded and the matter of ‘Qurbani’ remake cropped up. And since Dutt wanted nothing more than rescuing the project from Sanjay Gupta, he happily agreed to produce the remake.” Buzz has it that Bipasha Basu is touted as the next Zeenat Aman, who is currently shooting with Fardeen and Sanjay in Goa!
