Mahela Jayawardene welcomes Angelo Mathews on Twitter

New Delhi: Sri Lankan veteran Mahela Jayawardene welcomed skipper Angelo Mathews to social micro-blogging site, Twitter.

Jayawardene asked fans to be gentle on Mathews, and shared a light joke stating specially girls. He expressed his views on Twitter.

Mathews who has been on prime form with the bat off late, had a defining 2014 with the bat. Under his captaincy Sri Lanka won a rare Test series in England too.

The all-rounder will lead his side into the ICC 2015 Cricket World Cup to be held from 14th February in Australia and New Zealand.
