MS Dhoni fans attack Harbhajan Singh on Sourav Ganguly's birthday - Here's why

New Delhi: Veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh on Friday found himself on the receiving end of an attack from fans of India's limited-overs skipper MS Dhoni.

On the occasion of Sourav Ganguly's birthday, Bhajji termed him as India's best-ever captain. To be fair, this isn't the first time Harbhajan has made this remark.

Like most members of India's 2003 World Cup squad, the Punjab cricketer too has a special bond with the former skipper.

Ganguly is often credited for instilling a fighting spirit among Indian players and promoting young guns like Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan.

Like Dada, Dhoni too has enjoyed tremendous success as captain and fans often debate as to who among the two is the better captain.

Both players have enjoyed iconic status in Indian cricket and have a huge fan following.

Bhajji's remarks about Dada being the best captain angered Dhoni's fans, who went on to attack the offie.

Harbhajan was part of India's WT20 squad. However, he did not find a place in the playing XI.
