Shakib back into attack. Southee took a single off the first ball towards long-on. Vettori followed it with another single towards long-on. Southee played a cut shot off the third ball for no run towards covers. Southee made room for himself off the fourth ball and launched it high over long-off for a Six! Southee was offered more room off the next ball and he hit it past point for a boundary for the winning runs!

Nasir Hossain to continue. The first ball was short, Anderson went for the pull and smashed it over long-on for a Six! Hossain reduced the pace off the second ball, Anderson went for a slog-sweep missed the line and was bowled! Big big blow for the Kiwis! Tim Southee is the new man in. 20 still needed off 16 balls. Third ball was a dot delivery. Southee turned the fourth ball on the leg side for a single. Vettori played an inside shot off the fifth ball and scored a couple of runs. Vettori charged down the wicket once again off the last ball and cleared deep cover for a Six! 15 runs from the over. 11 needed from 12 now. That was a massive shot under pressure from the Kiwi veteran!

Mahmudullah brought into the attack. Anderson smashed the first ball over the bowler's head for a boundary. Anderson followed it with a single towards long-on. Third ball was a dot delivery. Vettori went for a sweep off the fourth ball, got a top edge and the fielder ran from long-on, got under the ball, grabbed it and spilled it at the last moment. Anderson hit the fifth ball towards covers for no run. Anderson took a single off the last ball to keep strike. 26 needed off 18 now.

Nasir Hossain into his fourth over. Anderson took a single off the first ball. Vettori defended the next two balls for no run. Vettori swept the fourth ball past midwicket for a boundary. Vettori worked the fifth ball towards midwicket for a single. Anderson went for a sweep off the last ball, got a top edge which landed safe. 33 needed off 24.

Shakib came back into the attack and Anderson welcomed him with a huge six over deep midwicket off the very first ball! The ball has disappeared and new ball lhas been brought into play. No runs off the second ball. Anderson took a single off the third ball. Rochi took a chance off the fourth ball, went for an inside out shot which went straight to the fielder at wide of long-off. Daniel Vettori is the new man in. He has plenty of experience but more as a spinner. Vettori got off the mark with a single off the fifth ball. Anderson swept the last ball for a single to keep strike. 40 needed off 30.

Nasir Hossain to bowl his third over. Just one runs came off the first five balls, Ronchi executed a sweep shot past square leg for a boundary. 49 needed off 36 now.

Taskin Ahmed bowled a short ball to Anderson who smashed it for a boundary. Fifth ball was a half-volley and Anderson drilled it straight down the ground for another boundary. 54 needed off 42 now.

Ross Taylor's resilience was ended by Nasir Hossain as he missed out on his favourite slog-sweep shot and was trapped in front of the wicket. Luke Ronchi is the new man in and he is known to play big strokes. Bangladesh still have a chance here if they keep taking wickets. 66 needed from 48 now.

Rubel Hossain, Bangladesh's hero from the previous match against England, picked a big wicket when he offered width to Elliott, who smashed it straight to Taskin Ahmed at deep backward point. Corey Andeson is the new man in. Taylor is batting on 55 off 92 balls and his wicket will be the key considering he is the set batsman. Kiwis need 78 runs from 60 bals. They would want to score at six per over for the next five overs and then take their chances.

Skipper Shakib once again got the much-needed breakthrough for his side when after completing his ton, Guptill charged down the wicket against him and gave a straight catch to Rubel at long-on. That was a great knock from the Kiwi opener. Shakib managed to end the 131-run stand for the third wicket. Grant Elliott is the new man in. Meanwhile, Taylor completed his first half-century of the tournament.

Guptill has completed his sixth ODI ton, his first in World Cup. It has been a significant knock considering the kind of start Bangladesh had. He has been supported well by Taylor who is batting on 47. These two have so far added unbeaten 131 runs for the third wicket. From New Zealand's perpespective, these two innings are of great importance as throughout the series, the Kiwis were heavily dependent on either McCullum or Williamson for most part of the scoring.

Bangladesh continue to search for their third breakthrough. The only thing which worked today for Shakib was opening the bowling attack with spin from both ends. Since then, he has looked completely short of ideas and Taylor and Guptill have given them no opportunities to strengthen their grip on the match. The partnership is now worth 115 runs. The Kiwis now need 141 runs to win from 25 overs. A couple of wickets here can once again bring Bangladesh back into the match.

There was an opportunity created by Rubel in the 19th over where he bowled an outswinger to Guptill, he edged it and it went past the diving wicketkeeper for a boundary. Had there been a slip, it was a straightforward catch. Shakib's field settings are not matching the standards of the bowling attack. This partnership is now worth 84 runs.

Both Guptill and Taylor are putting their massive experience into their innings today. The Bangladeshi seamers don't have the pace to unsettle these two veterans of the game. The partnership is now worth 62 runs and Shakib will have to come up with a different plan here.

Over 13 | Score 79/2

Guptill has completed his second half-century of the series. Slowly but steadily, the Kiwis are keeping the scoreboard in action. Taylor scored his first boundary in the 13th over and he can prove to be a very dangerous player if he gets going. These two have added 46 runs for the third wicket. Bangladesh certainly need another breakthrough here.

Bangladesh are dominating the proceedings at the moment. After losing the wickets of their two key batsmen, the Black Caps will have to bat with a very cautious approach for the next five to ten overs. Ross Taylor hasn't been able to live upto his reputation in the tournament and it's a very good opportunity for him to rescue the Kiwis from here onwards. Guptill scored a half-century against Afghanistan in the previous match and he would want to continue his good form and score another big knock here.

Double strike for Shakib!

Shakib's ploy to begin the bowling finally paid dividends as McCullum charged down the wicket against his bowling in the third over and hit it straight to the fielder at long-off. Three balls later, Williamson was offered room and he hit it straight to Tamim at point. Dream start for Bangladesh. Ross Taylor is the new man in.

Brendon McCullum and Martin Guptill would have got some shock as Shakib al Hasan decided to open the innings with the ball. From the other end, Taijul Islam was introduced into the attack. After a cautious start in the first two overs, Guptill stepped up the gas as he smashed two sixes and a boundary in Shakib's second over.

The Kiwis would be very disappointed with the kind of bowling effort they put in the latter part of their bowling innings. McCullum's wicket will be a key once again for the Kiwis.

It has been a stupendous fightback from the Bangladeshi batsmen, Mahmudullah in particular.

Southee conceded seven runs off the penultimate over post which Mahmudullah and Nasir Hossain hit a six each in the final over of the innings. Hossain made room for himself and tried hitting another boundary over point, but Ross Taylor took an excellent catch running backwards.

New Zealand required something special to end this partnership McCullum delivered it with a brilliant catch. Rahman hit a six off Grant Elliott's first ball, hit the second one towards wide of mid-off where the Kiwi skipper held on to an excellent catch diving towards his left. Nair Hossain is the new man in. Mahmudullah batting on 115.

After he became the first Bangladeshi cricketer to score a World Cup ton in the previous match against England, Mahmudullah followed it with another ton, this time agains New Zealand's formidable attack! It has been a wonderful knock from the right-hander and this innings would be hailed for a very very long time! He's jubilant and so are his team mates!

Meanwhile, as Mahmudullah had slowed down to an extent considering he was approaching his century, Rahman took charge of the proceedings as he smashed McClenaghan for a six and a boundary in the 45th over of the innings.

The Kiwis have looked ordinary with their bowling effort today. They are leaking plenty of boundaries at the moment!

Mahmudullah and Rahman are accelerating the pace of the innings and Bangladesh's total at the end of the 50 overs will depend on how long can Mahmudullah continue hitting great strokes. He is being well supported by Rahman who smashed three boundaries in Southee's ninth over. 25 runs scored in the last three overs.

Mushfiqur Rahim was slowly getting into his groove before he edged one off Anderson behind the wicket. Sabbir Rahman is the new man in. Mahmudullah is batting on 75 and and it would be a huge achievement if he manages to hit another ton here.  

Over 35 | Score 161/4

The batting powerplay was taken in the 34th over of the innings and skipper Shakib perished trying to hit too many aggressive strokes. He had already hit two boundaries in Anderson's over, but he went after a delivery which was wide and edged it to the keeper. Mahmudullah on the other hand is batting sensibly and is looking all set for another big score. Boult, who had started off with three consecutive maidens has conceded 48 runs in his next six overs. Mushfiqur is the new man in. We have to laud the intention showed by the Bangladeshis today.

Soon after reaching his half-century, Sarkar charged down the wicket off Vettori and gave an easy catch to Anderson at long-on. He had batted beautifully before playing that stroke. The wicket also ended the 90-run stand for the third wicket. Shakib al Hasan, the stand-in captain is the new man in. Bangladesh's biggest cricketing superstar needs to score a big knock here. Meanwhile, Mahmudullah too completed his half-century and he is in superb form at the moment.

Mahmudullah and Sarkar continue to rebuild the innings for Bangladesh. Mahmudullah has certaibnly grown in confidence ever since he became Bangladesh's first centurion at the World Cup. On the other hand, Soumya Sarkar is certainly a huge find for Bangladeshi cricket. These two have now added 79 runs for the third-wicket partnership.

Soumya Sarkar has played a gutsy innings so far and has taken the attack back to the Kiwis to an extent. He started off on a scratchy note but Sarkar made up for it with some good boundaries. Since McCullum had set a very attacking field for Boult, Mahmudullah collected 17 runs, including three boundaries in his seventh over. After a very slow start, Bangladesh are now in a respectable position. Daniel Vettori was introduced into the attack in the 15th over of the innings. 35 runs have been scored in the last four overs.

Kiwi pacers continue to create pressure. Boult picked his second wicket of the match in form of Tamim Iqbal who edged one to Anderson at second slip. Tim Southee created another opportunity in the 11th over of the innings where Mahmudullah edged one towards slips but it was dropped by Anderson. It was a tough chance but Anderson should have grabbed it since it was at catchable height towards his left. Meanwhile, Boult is now at the top in the list of the highest wicket takers for the tournament.

After a superb spell, Boult rightly got the first breakthrough for the Kiwis when he clean bowled Imrul Kayes with a jafa! He bowled one which pitched on leg stump and swung away hitting the off-stump. Boult conceded his first run of the innings in his fourth over when new batsman Soumya Sarkar mistimed one over point for three runs. Bangladesh also scored their first boundary in the 8th over when Iqbal flicked a delivery on the pads past deep square leg boundary.

Imrul Kayes b Boult 2 (19b)

Trent Boult started off the proceedings with a maiden over and was well supported by Tim Southee. Boult created an opportunity in the fourth over when Tamim Iqbal edged one towards the slip cordon where it fell short of a diving Corey Anderson. Once again, it has been a fascinating spell of swing bowling from the two speedsters.

TOSS: New Zealand have won the toss and they have decided to bowl first.

The Pool A match between New Zealand and Bangladesh at Seddon Park, Hamilton will give veteran Daniel Vettori enough opportunities to become Kiwi's highest World Cup wicket-taker. He needs four more wickets to surpass Jacob Oram's scalp of 36.

After losing 16 of their first 17 one-day internationals against New Zealand, Bangladesh have won all of the last seven completed meetings.
