Mickey Rourke says he always wore designer clothes even when he had no money.

London, June 07: From a Hollywood heartthrob to a pauper, actor Mickey Rourke has seen it all but the `Wrestler` star says he always wore designer clothes even when he had no money.The 55-year-old actor, who left the industry at the peak of his career in the early 90s to pursue professional boxing, recently made a successful comeback with his Oscar-nominated performance in `The Wrestler`, Contactmusic reported.

Rourke said that even at the lowest period in his life he never gave up his wardrobe and always looked good. "I wasn`t making anything for over 15 years. I was living in a USD 600 a month flat. But I always kept my clothes, y`know. Or I`d do something so I could keep dressing. "I have a really good relationship with a lot of designers. I get a lot of custom leather stuff made. In fact I`m re-designing my wardrobe right now," the actor said. Rourke wore a suit by French designer Jean Paul Gaultier to this year`s Oscars ceremony, where he narrowly lost out the Best Actor trophy to fellow star Sean Penn. The actor`s next movie, `The Informers` is to release toward the end of the year. Bureau Report
