PHOTO: Has Virat Kohli given away his relationship status with subtle t-shirt message?

New Delhi: In the last couple of months, Virat Kohli has got everyone talking about him.

Be it his genius on the pitch or intimate details of his private life, crickets fans just can't seem to get enough of the star batsman. 

The Delhi batsman's peformance in the recently concluded ICC World T20 and his spirited defence of Anushka Sharma on social media was widely appreciated by all sections of the society.

Virat and Anushka were then spotted leaving a restaurant in Bandra, Mumbai, fuelling further speculation over their relationship status.

While the two have never commented publicly on their alleged break-up, the general perception was that they were no longer together. 

However, a photo of Virat wearing a t-shirt with an interesting message has been doing the rounds of social media, attracting the attention of several fans.

"We were on a break!" - read the subtle message on Kohli's grey t-shirt.

Is Virat hinting at something here?
