New Delhi: Sachin Tendulkar might have retired from all forms of cricket, but it has hardly made a difference to his massive fan following in India.

According to a Goonj India Index 2015 report, made exclusively available to Zeenews.com, the batting maestro was the second most searched sportsperson across India in 2015. He beat the likes of Roger Federer and Cristiano Ronaldo in the popularity chart.

Virat Kohli was the most searched sportsperson in India, followed by Tendulkar and Ronaldo.

In top 10, apart from Kohli, Tendulkar and MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina also found a place in the users' search list.

Other renowned sportspersons in top 10 were Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer, Indian tennis sensation Sania Mirza and Barcelona's maverick footnballer Neymar.

The index is a chronicle of what Indians searched the most last year.
