Jackman has topped a new poll for Oz tourism face.

Melbourne: Hugh Jackman is the most preferred identity to be the new face of Australian tourism, according to a new poll.As per the survey by Roy Morgan Research, the actor beat Bindi Irwin, Dame Edna Everage and Jennifer Hawkins to grab the honour.

American-based trends expert Daniel Levine said that the star would be a favourite in the US as well. "He`s a good-looking, friendly guy and he has an attitude and a feeling that for us speaks really positively of Australia," a news daily quoted him as saying. "From abroad, Australia is perceived as having extraordinarily friendly people and great beaches. That`s something that can and should be pushed even further," he added. ANI
