Suranga Lakmal trapped Alastair Cook in front of the wickets. Cook discussed with Strauss and decided to not review the verdict departing for a duck as England lost their first wicket. Cook (0) b Lakmal Earlier, Mahela Jayawardene was the last man to be dismissed as Sri Lanka were all out for 318 in 96.3 overs on Day 2 of the first Test against England at Galle. It was largely due to Jayawardene’s 180 runs that Lankan team was able to post a respectable total in their first innings after James Anderson had them almost on the ropes on Day 1. Anderson finished with five wickets including the priceless wicket of centurion Jayawardene.
