Ind vs SL, 3rd Test: Ferocious Ishant Sharma enters 200-wicket club

Spearhead of Indian bowling line-up Ishant Sharma entered the 200 Test wicket club on Monday against Sri Lanka in the 3rd and final Test.

New Delhi: Ishant Sharma led from the front as the pacer struck key wickets to enter the 200 Test wicket club on Monday against Sri Lanka in the 3rd and final Test in Colombo.

The lanky speedster took the wicket of Sri Lankan skipper Angelo Mathews to reach the mark.

Lankan skipper Mathews who scored a brilliant ton, got trapped in front of the wicket immediately after coming after tea.

He has become fourth Indian pace bowler to claim 200 Test wickets after Kapil Dev (434), Zaheer Khan (311) and Javagal Srinath (236).

The pacer is certainly at the top of his game and has proved to be captain's go-to man in the entire series. 

Sharma came into to the match, with 192 wickets from 64 Tests.

Riding on his super bowling display India created history in Sri Lanka by winning the Test series after a gap of 22 years.
