Sri Lanka women`s cricket to tour India next month

Colombo: Sri Lanka national women`s team will undertake a tour of India next month, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced on Wednesday.

The women`s team from the island nation will tour India between January 14 to 27 for three ODIs and as many Twenty20 games. The selectors on Wednesday named a 23-member preliminary squad from which the final squad of 14 will be picked up. The preliminary squad features all big names in Srilankan women`s cricket in captain Shashikala Siriwardana, opening batswoman Chamari Atapattu, all-rounder Eshani Lokusuriya, Chamari Polgampola, Yashoda Mendis, Sripali Weerakkody and Chamani Seneviratne.
