Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai from Sept 18-22

Mumbai: The upcoming Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) will showcase the works of 50 top designers of the country in a five-day event, beginning from September 18. The inaugural show will be called "Celebrating 10 years of Fashion", themed as "then-now-forever".

The show will have many past Lakme grand finale designers, showcasing their collection. While the grand finale on September 22 will be themed on `Glamour` and will be designed by Tarun Tahiliani, said Anil Chopra, Advisor-Lakme at a press conference here today. Chopra said the LFW will see six designers in the GenNext category, two in the emerging and 38 established designers showcasing their collections. There will be four accessory designers in stalls. All designers will showcase their garments for buyers from India and across the globe from countries like France, Hong Kong, Middle east, South Africa and US. Bureau Report
