Unbelievable as it may sound, Kajol left Aparna dumfounded after she excused herself and walked out in haste when Sen was narrating a story to her. Buzz has it that Aparna had written a Bengali film ‘Iti Mrinalni’ that is reportedly based on her life. The filmmaker wanted the dusky actress to portray her on-screen. But to her dismay Kajol not only refused, she showcased her refusal in the most raucous terms. Confirming the news, a daily quoted a source as saying, "Aparna Sen has written a Bengali film called ‘Iti Mrinalini’ supposedly based on her own life, which is being produced by Venkatesh Films. It`s the story of an aging actress and the script is said to have certain similarities to her life. The director was keen to cast Kajol, as her father was Bengali, and felt she would be familiar with the language. She wanted her to play the role of the younger actress while Sen would play the aging actress." What’s more is that Aparna had been chasing Kajol for over months now. And after finally getting an appointment for 15 minutes with the actress, Aparna received a rude shock when Kajol excused herself and walked out. It was only after waiting for an hour for Kajol did Aparna realise that she isn’t coming back and left the Devgan residence feeling humiliated.
