Bright, vivacious, talented and confident, Nikita Nigam is all set to be the new singing sensation in Bollynation. Nikita has music running in her blood with superstar singer Sonu Nigam for a brother and a family of music lovers. In an exclusive interview with Kakoli Sengupta of Spicezee.com, the singer talked of her favourite songs, career plan and gave some magical make-up tips.Looking glam in a striped dress, the singer talked of her favourite English song, “My all time favourite song is “Are we really happy…with this lonely game we play.” And one of her favourite Hindi songs is, “Tum Jo Mil Gaye Ho.”
She went on to reveal her secret beauty tips. “One should always smile. It always makes you feel good. I always play music before make-up. Before make-up, try to understand your face and concentrate on the most prominent feature and then highlight it. In my case, it is my eye that is more prominent, so I highlight it to the best of advantage. I put Kaajal and then choose eye shadow in accordance to my outfit.”
“Then always remember that natural make-up is the most appealing. If you are making your eyes prominent then keep your lipstick light. And if you have applied dark lipstick then your eye-make up should be subtle,” she said.
“Now moving on to blusher, apply the shade that complements your skin tone. Mostly, cheek bones need to be highlighted but make it light and keep it natural. If you are going for a glossy make-up then put gloss on the forehead, chin and cheeks for natural glow. The more subtle it is the better it looks,” Nikita added.
Talking about her forthcoming projects, Nikita said, “Before anything else, I consider myself a singer. My upcoming film project is ‘Shortcut’ (Song - Mariz-e-mohabbat La Dawa Hua Re). Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy are the music directors of the film. I am also singing in three Telugu films.”
Nikita Nigam sounded upbeat and geared up for a successful music career on the lines of her celebrity brother.
