New Delhi: Not often do we see two Indian brothers script a win for the Indian cricket team.
But Yusuf Pathan and Irfan Pathan gave Indian fans a moment to cherish, by playing match-winning knocks against Sri Lanka in a T20I in 2009.
Chasing a decent total of 171 runs, Men in Blue were in a spot of bother after losing seven wickets with just 115 runs on board.
The Sri Lankan team and their fans had began to celebrate as established batsmen like Gautam Gambhir (13), Virender Sehwag (1), Suresh Raina (35), Yuvraj Singh (32), MS Dhoni (13) and Rohit Sharma (4) were all back in the hut.
When the seventh wicket fell, Yusuf was batting on 1 and was joined by Irfan.
With wickets tumbling, Yusuf took the onus on his shoulders and started hammering Sri Lankan bowlers to all parts of ground.
He was well supported by Irfan, who tonked the bowlers after settling in, from the other end.
Watch how the Pathan brothers stitched a match-winning unbeaten 59-run stand for the eighth-wicket partnership to guide India to one of their most famous wins.
