New Delhi: While the batsmen in modern-day cricket use all their power to generate sixes, not many know that a batsman can also get six runs without making much effort.

During an ODI between Sri Lanka and Pakistan, there was a moment when the batsman at strike attempted a sweep shot, didn't time it as it kissed his bat and went over the keeper and fell on his helmet.

The batsmen took a single, while umpire Steve Bucknor signalled additional five runs in the batting team's favour.

As per the rules, the batting team is given additional five runs if a batsman plays a shot which is obstructed by the kit of the fielding team.
