New Delhi: Gujarat skipper Parthiv Patel led his side by example as the southpaw slammed a ton on Monday in the Vijay Hazare final against Delhi at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
The opener completed his hundred in mere 111 balls, with the help of ten boundaries.
Parthiv remain unperturbed despite Gujarat losing two quick wickets early on in the form of Priyank Panchal and Bhargav Merai, after Delhi won the toss and decided to bowl first.
Rujul Bhatt gave good company to his skipper as they have added 120 (unbeaten) runs for the third wicket.
Bhatt crossed the fifty-run mark in 67 balls with four boundaries and a six.
If Gautam Gambhir-led Delhi beat Gujarat in today encounter then it would be their first Vijay Hazare Trophy title since 2012-13.
