Virat Kohli wouldn't be India's Test captain if DDCA was neck deep into corruption: Chetan Chauhan

New Delhi: DDCA's vice president Chetan Chauhan on Wednesday slammed all allegations against the board saying that they were open to all investigations and inquiries.

Speaking at a press conference, Chauhan rubbished all the allegations and said if they were true, Delhi would not be producing cricketers, who go on to play for the Indian cricket team.

"Players from Delhi are performing well. I am happy to tell that Delhi's Ranji team also reached the final of Vijay Hazare Trophy. Three cricketers are currently playing for the Indian team. So all these allegations against DDCA are not right. If that was the case, Virat Kohli, who hails from Delhi, would not have been the captain of the Indian Test team."

Chauhan added that the board was participating with police in the best possible manner.

"Several allegations have been slammed against DDCA. We are cooperating with the police and even some of our senior officials go whenever they have any query, " Chauhan said.

The former Indian cricketer also said that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had sent them a questionnaire, comprising of questions related to all the allegations and the board has sent their reply.
