Selectors have confirmed that Wade would play in the first Test against the West Indies, The Sydney Morning Herald reports.
Peter Nevill will don the gloves in the three-day tour game in Bridgetown, while Michael Beer has been named as 12th man but can bowl for the fixture. The West Indies squad contains six players with Test experience, including paceman Fidel Edwards, who turned out for Sydney Thunder during the Big Bash League.
