New Delhi: England all-rounder Ben Stokes lit up Day 2 of the 2nd Test against South Africa at Cape Town with a counter-punching double ton. 

The left-hander's record-breaking knock comprised of 30 fours and 11 sixes. Stokes along with Jonny Bairstow (150*) helped England put up a massive total of 629/6 (dec).

His was the second fastest double century in the history of Test cricket.

Stokes now holds the for the highest individual score for any Englishman batting at No 6 in Tests.
