The former England captain offered great insights about the game from the commentary box as well.

Indian fans in particular fondly remember him calling those two famous Sachin Tendulkar hundreds in Sharjah.

However, there was an instance when the Englishman crossed the line as fan ran on to the pitch.

The spectator breached security and entered the ground to greet Tendulkar (wrongly assuming he had reached the hundred-run mark).

"There is some monkey running on to the ground," Greig said on commentary as that happened.
