The 66-year-old took over the Gunners' job on October 1, 1996, and has since led them to 15 trophies in his two decade long stint there.
Having won three Premier League titles so far, the Frenchman has not enjoyed 100% backing from the club supporters off late. (READ: EPL Gameweek 7, Preview: Attention returns to on-field matters after Sam Allardyce farce)
