Margao, Goa: On a high after clinching the Federation Cup, Bengaluru FC coach Ashley Westwood credit his side’s success to team work and said they were now all ready to do an encore in the I-league.

Interacting with the media after Bengaluru defeated formidable Dempo Sports Club 2-1 in the final to lift their maiden title, the Englishman, however, conceded that his boys needed to work on several areas to do well in the competitive I-League.

“We are delighted at this win, and this shows what good team work can do,” Westwood said.

“This sets us up perfectly for the Hero I-League and I am really happy with the way the boys responded to the challenge.”

“Having said that I maintain that we cannot stretch our legs thinking we are the best in India. We have a lot of areas to work on and the I-League will be competitive to say the least,” the coach added.

Joint top-scorer of the tournament along with Tolgay Ozbey, Bengaluru skipper Sunil Chhetri said: “This triumph is very special.”
