The Indian women`s football team will be playing three international friendlies against Bahrain in September.

New Delhi: The Indian women`s football team will be playing three international friendlies against Bahrain in September.
The matches, which will be played at the Al Ahli Club Stadium, are scheduled to be held on September 17, 20 and 23. Striker Shasmita Malik has been named captain of the side, whcih underwent a training camp under chief coach Mohammad Shahid Jabbar in Lucknow for the tour. "The girls are up for the challenge. We have trained hard and hope to perform well," Jabbar said.
