London: David Beckham trekked deep into the jungle to interact with the Yanomami tribe and to film his documentary ahead of the World Cup, during his two-week trip to Brazil.
Pictures of the former footballer shaking hands with the `Dalai Lama of the Rainforest` Davi Kopenawa have surfaced and sources revealed that the meeting was crucial to get permission to enter the reserve to meet the Yanomami tribe, the Daily Express reported.
Accompanied by his best friend Dave Gardner, Beckham visited the tribe to know about the problems tribes they face due to the illegal gold-mining on their land. `The Beckham Documentary` is set to air on BBC One in the UK in June and will also be broadcasted by BBC Worldwide at the MipTV 2014 international TV sales festival in April.
