BFA announces 20-member team for Santosh Trophy

Patna: Rakesh Prakash Singh will lead a 20-member Bihar team in the 65th Senior National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy to be held at Shivsagar (Assam) from May 6, Bihar Football Association (BFA) Assistant Secretary S Imtiaz Hussain.

Besides Singh, Hemant Kumar Gope, Md Afzal, Sanjay Kumar, Rajesh Patel, Som Kumar, Atish Prasad, Maidul Mallik, Sanjay Biroli, Ajay Sharma, Sunil Lohar, Shivshankar Metho, Ashar Ali, Babbar Alam, Krishna Sakiya, Shayam Bahadur Yadav, Md Shabhaz, Md Faiyaz Alam and Arvind Kumar Singh, Mithilesh Kumar Singh will be the other members of the team.Bihar will take on Andhra Pradesh in a league match on the inaugural day of the premier football tournament, Hussain said.The team will depart for Shivsagar on Tuesday.
