between two teams who have qualified for the World Cup finals in Germany. The Czechs Republic opened the scoring in the 15th minute from Milan Baros who latched on to a knock down by Vratislav Lokvenc and steered the ball into the bottom corner of the net.

Karel Brueckner's side had to wait until the dying moments of the game for the second goal, Marek Jankulovski scoring from the penalty spot after Ahmed Dokhi bundled over David Jarolim to concede the kick.

Saudi Arabia's best chance of scoring came in the first half when Saud Khariri had his shot well saved by Czech goalkeeper Petr Cech.

Saudi Arabia will face Spain, Tunisia and Ukraine in Group H in Germany while the Czechs take on Italy, Ghana and the U.S. in Group E.
