The 24-year-old beat visiting goalkeeper Gorka Iraizoz to the ball to open the scoring in the 49th minute but got injured when his leg was caught under Iraizoz as they fell to the ground.Filipe was carried off on a stretcher and taken to hospital for further tests while the players and his coach Miguel Angel Lotina covered their faces with their hands. "It`s a terrible setback for him and for all of us," Lotina said. "He had high hopes of making it to the World Cup this year." Filipe earned his first call up to Dunga`s Brazil squad in August last year and had been one of Deportivo`s most consistent performers this season.Depor went on to win the game 3-1 with their players celebrating the goals by holding three fingers up in the air in honour of their injured team mate, who wears the number three shirt.
