Wayne Rooney trolled for his 'child like' handwriting

London: Wayne Rooney might be a football genius but even being Manchester United captain could not protect him from facing criticism for his child-like handwriting.

When the 29-year-old footballer posted a picture of himself with the caption "Not result we wanted last night but still a great tour. Thanks to all supporters in America who have made it special" on Twitter, he was trolled for his handwritten thank you note he scribed on the picture, reported the Mirror.

Sadly, nobody noticed the content of the message because everyone has been far too busy laughing at the handwritten part of the tweet and soon the social networking site was flooded with comments such as "@WayneRooney I think it's sweet that you let your kids write that!"

While one twitterer wrote, "@SchneidBastard @WayneRooney looks like he wrote that with his foot. Pen probably bounced off that too," another tweeted, "@WayneRooney you write like you speak mate."
