Daniel Craig tips Liverpool ace Steven Gerrard as next 007

London: James Bond star Daniel Craig would like to see football ace Steven Gerrard play the iconic spy someday.

Liverpool fan Daniel said: “Who would I rather be, captain of Liverpool or Bond? “Well I don’t think I could keep up any more so Bond will do but Steven Gerrard would make a good Bond,” a daily quoted him as saying. Gerrard, 32, had a cameo part in 2011 film Will. And Daniel, from Chester, added: “He is a good leader so you know what, seriously, who knows?” Daniel, 44, also revealed his favourite Bond girl of all time was Diana Rigg. The Avengers actress, now 74, appeared in 1969’s On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, the only film to star George Lazenby, 73, as the spy. Daniel added: “Diana Rigg is kind of my favourite." “She’s just great in that movie. I mean there have been many, but she stands out for me.” ANI
